Hey Tim! Yes, you’ll want to bring something warm any time of year when visiting the Haleakala Summit at sunset or sunrise. It can get pretty chilly and very windy up there. A sweatshirt might be enough, but bringing a coat just in case is a good idea to ensure you stay comfortable while enjoying the breathtaking views. I am from Michigan and it was still cold with that wind.
